Quikblade Paddles

Quickblade SUP Paddles are known for exquisite performance, slick movement, and, of course, their light weight, superior durability and toughness, and reasonable cost. Quickblade stand up paddles have fix layers of carbon fiber cloth and all carbon construction or laminated solid koa shafts with a unidirectional carbon fiber stringer that runs down the center of the paddle. Quickblade aims to make effective, tough, light and strong paddles that endure the fastest riding, the hardest training and extensive and prolonged use. Quickblade began with the passion and ingenuity of four time Olympic Canoeist Jim Terrell (he also has countless other International and National titles and awards) in Southwest Ohia on the Little Miami River. At the age of eleven, Terrell was already fascinated with competition paddles, and began building in his dad’s garage in Milford, Ohio. It was in 1989 that Quickblade products began as the natural evolution of extensive testing with paddle performance and years of competitive racing. Now, after decades of experience with hydrodynamics, paddle mechanics, composite technology applications and strain gage force analysis, Jim’s extensive scientific work with paddles has yielded him championship titles in the Olympics and elsewhere. Jim has also worked with under water high speed photography, aerospace and motorsports in his endless quest to create innovative and original new shapes and designs to his paddles with the most sophisticated aerospace products on the market. Terrell thinks of Quickblade as the product of the natural progression of his passion and involvement in years of recreational and competitive paddling.
